All newspaper deliveries, including daily sports, will be suspended on the day of the event.

Except for the holiday on January 2, only the morning edition will be closed.

What is a newspaper holiday?
The Japan Newspaper Publishers' Association has designated a day off for newspaper production and for newspaper dealers to take a day off from newspaper publication for the purpose of relaxation and vacation.

┃Suspension of Evening Newspaper
The evening edition will be closed on Sundays, national holidays, substitute holidays, and during the year-end and New Year holidays.
The year-end and New Year holidays will be announced in the Notice to Subscribers in December each year.
┃There has been a change in the publication of "be"
"be" is now published in the Sunday morning edition, and the weekly TV guide is published in the Saturday morning edition starting on the 4th.
