Weekly Go will cease publication after the September 4, 2023 issue (vol. 2320), which goes on sale on Monday, August 28.

公益財団法人日本棋院は「週刊碁」を8月28日（月）発売の2023年9月4日号（通巻2320号）をもちまして休刊とすることを決定いたしましたのでお知らせいたします。 　1977年の創刊以来46年にわたって囲碁文化の発展に寄与することを目的に「週刊碁」の発行に取り組んでまいりました。しかしながら、昨今のメディアにおける環境の変化は著しく、発行部数の減少、原料高騰等により事業の維持が困難となり休刊を決定いたしました。 　長きにわたりご愛読賜りましたことを心より御礼申し上げます。 　休刊後はネットサービス事業に経営資源を注力し、今の時代の囲碁ファンのライフスタイルに合った形での展開を検討してまいります。 　今後も、弊院は囲碁文化の発展に貢献するための活動を継続してまいりますので、引き続き囲碁ファンの皆様のご支援を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。（source：Nihonkiin website）
